ANALISIS BUKU TEKS PELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMP DI KOTA BANDUNG BERDASARKAN LITERASI SAINS

Abstract
This study aimed to identify scientific literacy area on junior high school Biology textbooks which used in school contain science as a body knowledge, science as a way of investigating, science as a way of thinking, and interaction among science, technology, and society. Descriptive study was done to describe proportion category of scientific literacy. Population of this study are all pages on junior high school Biology textbooks, meanwhile sample of this study are some of pages on this textbooks. Data gathered from observation category sheet adopted from Chiapetta, Fillman, and Sethna research. Proportion of scientific literacy are on 7th grade junior high school Biology textbooks : science as a body knowledge 86.7%, science as a way of investigating 7.0%, science as a way of thinking 3.2%, and interaction among science, technology, and society 3.8%. Proportion of scientific literacy are on 8th grade junior high school Biology textbooks : science as a body knowledge 83.2%, science as a way of investigating 11.7%, science as a way of thinking 5.1%, and interaction among science, technology, and society 0.0%. Proportion of scientific literacy are on 9th grade junior high school Biology textbooks : science as a body knowledge 73.3%, science as a way of investigating 8.2%, science as a way of thinking 17.8%, and interaction among science, technology, and society 0.7%.
